Wellington, Fla. – Apr. 2, 2019 – Victoria Colvin concluded week 12 of the 2019 Winter Equestrian Festival on a high note with multiple hunter championships, as well as the coveted WEF Overall Hunter Rider award and the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship. Throughout the season, Colvin accrued an outstanding 3012 points, the only rider to surpass 3000 points in the hunter divisions. With championships all 12 weeks of the circuit, Colvin reaffirms her reputation as one of the top professionals in the industry. In addition, John and Stephanie Ingram were second WEF Overall Hunter Owners, sponsored by Lugano Diamonds.

After being awarded the WCHR Hunter of the Year Award and the Peter Wetherill Cup prior to the evening’s festivities, Victoria Colvin and Brad Wolf’s Private Practice demonstrated two stellar trips to trump the other 31 pairs in the class and earn the winning title. Colvin’s victory marked her fifth time winning the $100,000 WCHR Peter Wetherill Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular.

Victoria Colvin Rides to Hunter Championships All Twelve Weeks of WEF
Over the course of the competitive season at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Victoria Colvin rode to at least one championship or reserve championship in a hunter division every week of the 12-week circuit aboard numerous horses. In its entirety, her list of division-topping results includes more than 30 tricolor ribbons on nearly 20 different horses, proving that the young professional is truly a queen of the hunter ring.
Victoria Colvin and El Primero Save the Best for Last to Win $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby
To cap off the 12-week Winter Equestrian Festival, Victoria Colvin rode Meralex Farm Inc.’s El Primero to a win in the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. After jumping to the top spot in the classic round Saturday morning, the pair maintained their lead to finish with an impressive 402 point total.
