Anky Van Grunsven gives birth to a son:
This morning at 10.31h Anky gave birth to a son. The little boy has been given
the names Yannick Janssen Van Grunsven and weighs 830 grams. Given the
circumstances mother and son are doing well. Anky and her baby boy will have
to stay in hospital for a while.

CSI****/CDI*** Stuttgart German Masters (GER):
Ulrich Kirchhoff (GER) was the proud winner of the Mercedes-Benz, Allianz
and Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg Grand Prix Sunday afternoon with the 9
yr. old Damhus Carino. The Atlanta Olympic Games double Gold medallist
had reason to celebrate. The four horse jump off for the Mercedes Viano
CDI 220 worth 43.000 Euro included three Athens Olympic combinations,
Christian Ahlmann (GER) with Coester, Jos Lansink (BEL) with Cumano and
Leopold van Asten (NED) with VDL Groep Fleche Rouge. Ahlmann took the
second place, Lansink took third place and Van Asten took fourth place.
Van Asten was however honoured with the Leading Rider Award for the show.
Martin Schaudt (GER) and Weltall captured the Kampmann German Master
Title in the Dressage with his Olympic mount Weltall VA and set a record
score of 80.920% in Sunday´s Grand Prix Special. Heike Kemmer (GER) and
Bonaparte finished in second place in the Special and Ann Kathrin
Linsenhoff (GER) took the third place with Wahajama-Unicef.

Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) dominated the jumping competition Saturday with wins
in the Jump Off competition with Cantate Z and the Accumulator class with
2 Jokers on Hors La Loi II. However it was Michael Freund (GER) that had
the crowds on the edge of their seats during the Driving World Cup
Qualifier that brought him his 11th German Master Title.
Beatriz Ferrer-Salat (ESP) and her Olympic mount Beauvalais pleased the
crowds and judges with their elegant performances and took home the wins
in the Dressage Grand Prix Freestyle Test Saturday and the Grand Prix
Friday.
The Ladies German Masters was the highlight of the Saturday evening
performance and it was defintely a strong field of competitors. In the
end it was Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (GER) who took the win with
Checkmate finishing almost a second faster than Luciana Diniz-Knippling
(BRA) with Meautry´s Locarno. The third place went to Jessica Kuerten
(IRL) riding Castle Forbes Libertina and the fourth place went to her
Aegon Equestrian Teammate Sheila Burke (USA) riding Jamison.

The German Masters Friday evening went to Marcus Ehning (GER) riding Anka
with a picture perfect jump off round that was rewarded with a Mercedes A
200. The second place went to Christina Liebherr (SUI) riding L.B. No
Mercy and the third place went to Leopold van Asten (NED) riding VDL
Groep Fleche Rouge, who had won the second qualifier for the Masters
earlier in the afternoon.

Angelique Hoorn (NED) took the win in the Grand Prix at the CSI Meppel
riding Libelle. The second place went to Jur Vrieling (NED) riding Nerina
and the third place went to Marcel de Boer (NED) riding Blair Main.

Rolf Goeran Bengtson (SWE) won the Mentos Grand Prix riding Grandina 22.
The second place went to Frederik Gustafsson (SWE) riding Palla V H and

Regis Villain (FRA) won the Grand Prix riding Fidame Pierreville with
Stephanie Delaveau (FRA) finishing in second place riding How Many

Fidel Vogt (LIE) won the Grand Prix riding Touch of Clover with Samantha
McIntosh (BUL) finishing in second place riding VDL Groep Calvaro. The
