¬†Founded in 2006 by Georgina Bloomberg, The Rider’s Closet is a charitable program that provides free equestrian clothing and boots to therapeutic riding programs, pony clubs, scholastic teams and individual riders in need. Hosted by Pegasus Therapeutic Riding at Pegasus Farm in Brewster, N.Y., The Rider’s Closet accepts donations of new or gently used riding gear and sends items out by request to hundreds of deserving equestrians around the U.S. each year. For more information, visit pegasustr.org/trc.

The Wings program at Pegasus Therapeutic Riding consists of equine-assisted activities for at-risk individuals, including abuse and human trafficking survivors, disadvantaged youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. The program is a customized blend of mounted and unmounted sessions, and typical areas of focus include social/relationship skills development, improved physical and cognitive ability, trust-building, self-regulation and calming exercises, and increased confidence, control and empowerment.
