CHIO Aachen ticket sales 2.0

What format will ordering tickets take on in the future? Up until a few years ago tickets for the World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen, were either ordered by phone or purchased directly at the showground offices. This has changed radically. In the meantime online sales account for over 30 percent of the tickets sold.
With good reason: At home on their own sofas the users can enquire within a few mouse clicks which tickets are still available. Furthermore, the 3D panorama views developed especially for the CHIO Aachen allow the users to take a virtual glance through the stadium. Hence, via chioaachen.de allows you to check where your seat is, how far away you are from the course or the dressage ring and whether there are any visual obstructions – high-tech with a high service factor and what’s more with additional playful elements, that’s what makes the web fun.
For a lot people communicating per “social media” has also become matter of course, which is why “we have consistently further developed our ticket applications for Facebook too,” explained Michael Mronz, General Manager of the Aachener Reitturnier GmbH. Without compromising any of the functionality of the 3D module, after buying his ticket the user can then announce when he is visiting the CHIO Aachen, where he is sitting and invite friends to join him using well-known facebook functions like “share” and “notify friends”.
However, this is no longer possible for all disciplines of the CHIO Aachen 2012 (June 29th – July 8th), namely the dressage competitions are completely sold-out except for the Wednesday. There is also extremely high demand for the show-jumping. For instance the ROLEX Grand Prix on Sunday is also fully booked. However, there are still a few tickets left for the Mercedes-Benz Prize, Part of the FEI Nations Cup, on Thursday evening and tickets are still available for Tuesday, July 3rd, when the NetAachen Prize, STAWAG Prize and the spectacular Opening Ceremony will be staged. Entrance tickets for the famous WARSTEINER Prize on Wednesday and the RWE Prize of North-Rhine Westphalia on Friday are also still available. They can be ordered from the hotline on +49-(0)241-917-1111, online at www.chioaachen.de or via facebook.com/chioaachen. Incidentally, the CHIO Aachen hotline employees are not located in an anonymous Call Centre, but actually at the Soers showground in Aachen. “So, we can fulfil all ticket demands, providing a high service level with friendly and competent employees on-site, per telephone or in the form of animated stadium panorama on the web,” commented Mronz.
