Germany has announced their riders of the eventing team representing Germany at the WEG. The team is set up as follows:

Andreas Dibowski -  Butts Leon or FRH Fantasia
Michael Jung  -  Sam
Ingrid Klimke  -  Butts Abraxxas
Frank Ostholt  -  Mr. Medicott
Dirk Schrade  -  Gadget de la Cere
Simone Deitermann  -  Free Easy NRW

Ingrid Klimke, Frank Ostholt and Andreas Dibowski won the gold medal at the Hong Kong Olympics. In 2006 Ingrid Klimke and Frank Ostholt also belonged to the gold-winning team at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen.

As reserve the following riders are nominated:
- Kai Rüder with Leprince des Bois
- Anna Warnecke  with Winkle Bee
- Andreas Ostholt with Franco Jeas
Simone Deitermann will most probably ride as an individual rider in Kentucky.
