Feb 2nd, 2010 | By bk | Category: INTERNATIONAL NEWS
Moorlands Totilas, the European Dressage Champion 2009, will be stood at stud starting 2010. This breaking news was announced by the owners – Tosca and Kees Visser. First Moorlands Totilas was supposed to concentrate on dressage only until the Olympic Games in London in 2012. But now they changed their mind.
According to the couple they had been contacted by a great number of breeders, so that they want to give breeders the chance to use Totila’s genes. They plan to distribute Totila’s semen through three stallion stations in the Netherlands. Totilas will only be available by frozen semen. As soon as the quality of the semen has been analyzed, they will decide on the number of mares.
Interested persons will have to fill out a form which will be carefully analyzed and handled on a first come, first serve basis. The planned stud fee will be between 5.000 and 5.500 Euros.
